Do you wear make-up to the parks?

I have very dry skin and normally wear No 7 all-in-one compact foundation. Obviously, in the heat of Florida I don't want to be wearing thick foundation. In the past couple of years, I have gone bare-faced at the risk of scaring small children :rotfl: However, it means that I feel very self-conscious about having my picture taken as my face really needs some coverage.

I have thought about wearing tinted moisturiser but, again, because of my dry skin, I have to be careful about what I use. Has anyone got any recommendations or can anyone tell me what you wear in terms of make-up.

Well, generally I don't wear make-up. I did wear some a couple of evenings in Florida last year and it was absolutely pointless as its so hot that most of it would sweat off my face in less than half an hour!

I would maybe buy some sort of moisturising suntan lotion or possibly a tinted lotion for your face, that way at least you get some protection and cover-up.

But I think the best make-up in Florida is the glowing tan you'll get in a couple of days!!!

I never wear any foundation during the day, especially in the heat it would wear off. I tend to wear a tinted moisturiser at home but always use sunblock on my face on holiday.

Joh ~ I wear full make-up in the US. My foundation whilst in the UK is Estee Lauder in light. I switch that to EL Bronzing powder whilst on holiday. My make-up bag is made of cosmetics from Estee Lauder, Bobbi Brown, Clinique, Dior and Chanel and although more expensive they do seem to survive in the Florida heat.

I dont wear make up during the day as it is just too hot, I sometimes wear it at night. A tinted moisturiser would prob be best and maybe mascara.

No never

just wear sun tan cream especially formulated for the face, Boots usually.

& moisturise at night.

Tend to avoid photos, I take them instead!

What about using the Johnsons Holiday Skin lotion, they do one for the face. Exfoliate first and then apply, as it has a hint of self tan it will give you colour without having to wear makeup.

i don't ever wear make up in florida-just melts off or makes my skin very spotty.
What i usually do is have my eyelashes tinted before i go-it lasts about 2 weeks so no need for mascara.
Also you could use johnsons holiday skin moisturiser on your body and face.Do it everyday for a week before your trip and i bet you will have a lovely glow without any make up. :wizard:

Can anyone recommend a nail varnish that doesn't melt in the florida heat?i used no 7 last trip and it didn't survive the first day!!!!

Can't help with the nail varnish but can with tinted moisturiser :) Benefit make a brilliant tinted moisturiser that has SPF built in and gives enough coverage to even out skin tone. I wear it all year round as it is just as effective as foundation, but so much lighter on the skin. the major department stores should all have a Benefit counter. Good luck finding the right thing,
Claire xx

Another vote for Johnson’s Holiday Skin - its fab! No streaks, I put it on before I go to bed and I wake up a lovely bronze goddess! Ha, ha! I am quite pale so I noticed a difference on the first application. It gives you a lovely colour without feeling the need to put make up on but what I usually do is dust a bit of bronzing powder over the cheek bones, forehead, nose and chin maybe a bit of waterproof mascara and a bit of lip gloss? I can also recommend Vinchys tinted moisturiser - it’s lovely and light and gives an even coverage.

I never wear foundation anyway, but there is no way that I would ever inflict my face, minus make-up, on the poor unsuspecting holidaymakers of WDW. I wear just a touch of eye shadow, mascara (until I go on Splash Mountain) and always a bit of lip gloss :)

I don't where make up just use a sun screen and lip gloss. Hopefully after a couple of days I start to get a bit of colour from being out in the sun. Hubby hasn't yet worked out the zoom on the camera so when he takes a photo of me you can only normally see a figure in the distance anyway so I don't have to worry about seeing my face. :teeth:

During the day I wear Nivea visage tinted moisturiser (with Estee Lauder bronzing powder), Nivea usually bring out a bronze darker version of the tinted moisturiser during the summer months. I use Elizabeth Arden eight hour cream tinted lip protector.
Sometimes use Estee Lauder 'double wear' foundation if we're off somewhere special!!

as a male i can only say that i dont ware any lipstick as it makes the beer go flat :rotfl:

i never wear makeup, and i certainly can't imagine wearing any in the July heat/humidity of orlando.....sounds like cruel and unusual punishment to me...

Revlon nail varnish worked for me - went a little 'tacky' after a few days but certainly lasted more than 1 :thumbsup2

I swear by Bobby Brown tinted moisturiser - its expensive but well worth it. I tend to find that I wear make up for the first couple of days but don't bother when I've got a base tan.

Honestly seeing me without my make-up on would be an even worse punishment :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:
