Sorry this is non-Disney and that I'm a non-Canadian but sammi suggested I post this here as well as the Community Board where I originally had it.
I've decided I want to go to Canada for my spring break in March next year. Now, here's my question. I want to go to the Canadian Rockies, but want to go somewhere nice and big enough to explore. Can you recommend any cities in the Canadian Rockies?

I would recommend Banff, Alberta. I spent two weeks there this summer. It is very nice. Stay at the Banff Springs Hotel if you can or at least take a tour. It is awesome.

Banff is cool! But if you have time, consider flying to Vancouver, driving to Calgary and flying home from Calgary. We drove thru the Rockies in March years ago and it was way cool!

There aren't really any cities in the Canadian Rockies, only a few small towns and the tourist resort villages of Banff and Jasper.

Unless you like winter sports, there won't be any outdoor exploring in the Rockies in March.

However, the hotspring towns of Fairmont and Radium in BC would be nice.

Banff is definately the best place to view the Rockies, it can be a little expensive to stay right there. Another area close by is the town of Canmore, Alberta (about 20 minutes away). Lake Louise is another place you will want to visit.

Banff and Jasper come to mind. just beautiful places. I like Revelstoke as well, but I'm not sure how big that is.

Banff and the hot springs as already mentioned get my votes. Banff is such a quaint small city with skiing nearby and it's only a little way to British Columbis where you can do the hot springs (a must). Jasper is also nice and nearby the glaciers. Lots to do in the winter - especially if you ski!
