I will be booking 6 flights (4 adults, 2 small children) as soon as June SW rates open up. I know to book them as one-way flights each way so that I can take advantage of DINGS. But it's always been just the two of us, and I don't have experience booking 6. Should I put them all on one reservation? If I do and a DING comes out, would there be more of a problem getting 6 DING fares than 2? Or should I split us up as 2 adults on one ressie, 4 on another? I don't want to make it difficult, but don't want to lose a DING if one comes out either.
TIA!!

I am one of those people who has never booked both flights separate and have never had any problems rebooking one flight for a lower fare. Only once have I only been able to book 3 out of 4 tickets at a lower price and again it was not an issue to do. I always tell people to not always depend on the Dings. Check your flights regularly to see if there is a price change. Good luck!!

I would do like you said the 2 and 4 split. Book one ways as well.

it's a lot easier when dealing with credits as well when they is not that much on them.

I'm also waiting for the June to open thought for sure it was going to be Thursday.

good Luck.

I've had that experience once when I had all 4 of us on 1 ressie but could only book a ding for 3. I cancelled my higher priced ressie and booked 2 Ding ressies for 2 pax each.
Either way, if a Ding comes along and you want to use funds from a previous booking, you must cancel the original. The only time you can simply "change" ressie to get credits is when it's a non-Ding sale.
Does that make sense?
