If Obama were to win (personal feelings about him aside) how do you think you will review the results? What I mean is, you may hate him, think he will destroy the world, not react correctly in a crisis, etc but do you feel like the results will be fair? With all the Acorn discussions and the obviously hate this election has generated on both sides, I am curious if republicans are already thinking that the results are going to favor Obama because the whole thing was rigged to begin with?

I should point out that I am bringing this up because a republican friend and I were talking about this tonight. She said there are "credible sources" out there that are already taking steps to fight the results. She claims to have read many articles about this. I haven't seen word one about it myself.

I certainly have concerns about the validity of these election results, but I'm not drawing any conclusions until we see what happens. I really hope that the election isn't that close. I would like to see a conclusive result no matter which way it goes. I would hate for people to lose faith in our election process.

I think that allegations of election fraud are the biggest danger to our democracy. We cannot allow Americans to lose faith in the elections. If there are serious challenges to the election results this time around, I anticipate widespread violence.

Personally, I think the media has been all for Obama and has swayed this election in his direction. No one will ever convince me otherwise, so please, nobody try ;) . That said, I believe that the Bible teaches me that God places the people in control who He wants in control and always has. So, if Obama wins, I believe there is a bigger reason that we all know and we'll have to wait to see what it brings. I'm sure no one wants "church" brought into this, but you asked for opinions and I'm giving you mine. Usually, with me, God's a factor in most facets in my life so... :)

If Obama is elected President of this country I will accept that and be a good citizen--as long as nothing was to interfere between me and my relationship to God. :)

I agree and he also bought his way into it with a "war chest" of over 500 MILLION dollars.

As to the OP.

Life will go on, people will piss and moan, and it will be much ado about nothing, just as it was in 2000. Once someone is declared the winner that's the way it will be.

I actually see more issues if Obama loses then if he wins.

What issues do you see if Obama loses?

From what I have seen the Obama supports tend to be much more radical than the McCain supporters, infact, most McCain supporters I know in real life, aren't voting for McCain they are voting against Obama.

So, my prediction, is there will be rioting in the streets, there will be people screaming on the TV, there will be court challanges...

We must be opposites, my neighborhood and friends are major McCain supporters. Many are much more outspoken than me.

I doubt (hope) there would not be rioting in the streets, I'm sure there will be screamng on tv no matter who wins, and if McCain does win, I don't know if there would be court challenges or not (after all that did not work for the democratic party before). I guess that you don't think that if Obama wins there would be court challenges?

there may be court challanges that depends on how close it ends up, but there won't be any rioting.

ETA: Actually I guess I should say there won't be any rioting by McCain supporters. I have seen too many riots of people out celebrating a victory as well.

Really???

I was at the Obama Rally here last Saturday, 75,000 calm, rational, peaceful people. The people there protesting or supporting McCain were politely ignored.
A good friend was at the St Louis rally with 100,000+ and said the same thing.
Where are these "much more radical" people hiding? Or maybe they just don't live in Missouri. :confused3

I agree. This is exactly why the ACORN's of the US should be disbanned and, in the instance of ACORN, a RICO case be pursued. They're clearly a criminal enterprise, all the way thorugh.

Well some of them have been showing up at McCain rallys, but the majority of them aren't the type to go to peaceful campain rallys either.

So you think that court challenges are okay if Obama wins??

I guess whether any supporters riot or not is all just a guess, at least that is my view.

But it sounds like that you know for a fact that no McCain supporters would riot. You may be right on that, at least one McCain supporter in my neighborhood is too busy driving by house and screaming the f word about Obama.

Mostly given in $25 increments by people like me. TWO MILLION people like me. :goodvibes

...and the lady who gave $174,000....all in donations under $200. I listen to a guy tonight that felt that was perfectly fine.....didn't matter that it's illegal.

If there is a legitimate beef, the courts are where it is supposed to be resolved. However, look how that worked last time with people complaining that Bush Stole the election etc...
