Just very curious as to how often a lot of you make the trip to the parks.
There`s a lot of people on here who have given out loads of fantastic information and advice, and for people like me who unfortunately can only make it over to the states maybe once a year or less even, the info has been invaluable.
So out of curiosity do a lot of you live very close by or do you have a big journey to make to get to the fun.
I must admit reading through this forum keeps me going, as it`s a cold wet and miserable sunday night here at the moment. So looking at pictures and reading trip reports are a great way to get through the winter, while waiting for August to come around. :dance3:

I live in FLA only a hour from the parks. So anytime we get the bug we hop over and get our fix!!:thumbsup2
We deff get our moneys worth out of our AP's!!!
I've seen peeps from as far as Austrailia posting here..Pretty kool in my eyes!!

Hey Carole! I guess I live the closest of anyone who's a regular poster...about 20 minutes from the park.

I go often...mainly in the summer and during HHN.

Glad you're liking the pictures!

MsDis and i live in south Clermont close to the intersection of 192 and St Rd 27. Metro West is just a few miles closer than we are. We will go on a Saturday afternoon just to watch the Mardi Gras parade and concert. I usually go on Sunday morning to ride MIB and then ride whatever strikes my fancy or has the shortest line. Sometimes when we post have to realize we are close and go whenever we want, whereas those from a greater distance have to do it all in a compressed time frame. One thing is for sure, close by or far away, get there when the gates open so you can take advantage of the low crowd count that starts to soar around 10:00am:cool2:

We don't live close enough being in Texas but when we go we spend a lot of time in Universal and really take our time to soak up everything. Then like you we read here and elsewhere to learn as much as possible and to get our "fix".

2 hours away,4-6 trips of 2 to 6 days par year split between the parks we hold passes for.We rotate WDW,SW and USO so that we have passes to 2 sets of parks every year.I started going to parks in the late 70s as a kid and am still hooked.

Given that I still learn new stuff here.

I live in Winter Park, which is about 25 mins away (without traffic :) ). I go with my family who prefer less wild rides, so we frequent Disney about every weekend, but I love going over to Universal. We get over there about once every month or two. We visit City Walk more though to eat at Margaritaville and Bubba Gump. My birthday is Friday, so that's what we're doing on Saturday, Bubba Gump and Universal. Should be a fun time. We also like to go over after 4:00pm so we can make use of our express pass on our annual passes.

I am so jealous :goodvibes I wish we could pop in any time we had the urge instead of just the 1-2 times a year we go.

We live about 2 hours 15 minutes south of
Universal. We are Ap holders and try to visit the parks and resorts at least every other month, but sometimes more. Our summer stay in July is for a week, but the rest of the year it's normally 3-4 days over a long weekend. Then sometimes we get the itch to leave Saturday morning around 4 am and then return Sunday night but that is rough but fun.

I live like five minutes from Universal (also a TM there) and i still go to the parks on my days off to the parks (Universal/Disney/Seaworld)

Side note..i can see rocket from my bedroom, great way to wake up.

Gosh I am so not at all jealous :sad1: :sad1: . Seriously it must be wonderful to be so close, even a couple of hours away I would settle for!!
We would love to live in Orlando, but will just have to content ourselves to our trips to the sunshine and make the most of them.
To be close enough to wake up and see the parks must be fantastic :thumbsup2
Yes Todd loving the pictures, they do help get through these cold nights that we have. Only had grey skies for what seems like forever recently, and still wearing gloves and hat:confused3

Thanks guys

We live about a hour away, go a couple times a month with longer stays of a couple of days in the summer

We live in St Louis, Mo and visit the parks (US/IOA/Disney) twice a year for 5 to 8 days a trip. We've been doing this for the last 6 years.

We live 16 hrs drive time away and can only get there about 1 time a year for about a week. Wish it could be more and closer.

What's funny is friends, family, and co-workers always say "Your going to Us and Ioa again !" I always smile and say YES!:thumbsup2 When you live close it's a real bargain for the AP pass and discounts not to take advantage of.
