Do the rooms have coffee makers? And if so, do they have little plastic containers of half and half, or nasty packets of powdered crap?

And if so, do they have take away paper cups with lids?

Thanks!

Yes they have coffee makers. They are the "one cup" brew type, but not a Keurig (sp). They have individual packets of coffee grounds- two each, regular and decaf. The cups are the paper cups with lids. The creamer is the powdered packets, so bring your own or borrow some from elsewhere (at the rest. in the park, I'd take one or two for the next mornings coffee)

This is what was in my PPH bathroom in December (room #1234, DCA park view):

I've stayed in other PPH rooms that had older model coffee makers and they were located in a different spot, like on top of the armoire or something. I think they put newer ones in the rooms in between my PPH stay in 12/2008 and the one in 12/2010. They also changed the type of coffee and the type of powdered creamer in those 2 years, too!

Nasty powdered yuck!!! Also not all of the rooms have the new coffeemakers. We have stayed in both PPH and DLH recently and neither of our rooms had single serve coffee makers. However my friends room did.

A tip for in the parks: Buy your coffee at the Main Street Market House then walk over to the bakery and use their half and half! Not sure why the market house doesn't have it! Doesn't make sense to me!!! Also free refills on your coffee only at the Market House if you bring your receipt back during the day of purchase. They have regular, decaf, Kona and usually a flavored one.
