Question for Pam OKW

Pam and others about my upcoming trip to BWV
Do you think that I am going to have to show out like you did recently at BWV? I have used alot of points to book 6 rooms to take my grandparents and parents and some of our other friends and family for a trip in October. My DH and I are flying and the rest of the crew is driving. We will get to Orlando around 1pm and want to get over to the resort before everyone else because I want to see all the rooms to make sure they are up to my expectations. I will be right at the front desk if they are not! I may have a bit of Irish in me as well, Pam... After reading some of the things here I am a little concerned. I recently got a job part time at the Disney Store so that I could get the discount and get tickets cheaper and such; plus I just wanted to have something extra to do. I love to work there! It is like working and having fun at the same time!! Pam, how long have you been a member? We bought in last Feb (00'). Have only stayed at HH with Disney. Other points have been used at the Grove Park Inn in Asheville, NC and at Charleston Place in SC. We were very happy with these last 2, but were very upset with HH. The GV we got there was terrible!! That will be another story if anyone wants to hear it. Let me know your thoughts. Pam, do you ever go on the Chat?? Let me know your schedule there and I wil catch up with you. I am new to this and just getting the han go things. Thanks for all the great tips and opinions everyone!!!

Alice, chances are that everything will work out. If something is wrong with your reservations it's better if you don't get mad but reasonably discuss it. (I know it's hard when the pressure is on for everything to be as close to perfect as possible).

I've owned at OKW since 1993 but have only had two studio trips to BWV. I'm not much of an expert on that one. But it is a great resort.

Chances are your trip will be terrific.
It sounds like it will be.

hi: i booked 3 villas at bwv last may/june for a family trip. everything went just fine-2 of the rooms were ready when we arrived at 1pm and the other was ready by 1:30. there were 14 of us and everyone had charging privileges on their room cards linked to my credit card. guest services went out of their way to be helpful with ressies for everyone with us. we did have a minor snafu with the surcharge for telephone calls. the young man at the front desk wasn't able to resolve it immediately, but it was taken care of in a matter of a couple hours, along with an apology for not being able to do this a little quicker. every single person involved would go back to bwv in a heartbeat.

Hi Alice,

Don't be disappointed if your rooms aren't ready when you get there. I believe check-in time is 4:00PM so they don't have to be available before that time. When we stayed at BWV we arrived at 11:30AM, but we couldn't get into the room until 3:30.

The Boardwalk is WONDERFUL and so are the people who work there. We went for the first time in November and everyone was helpful and just so unbelievably nice. We had one small problem with our room. The lock on the master bedroom was broken. It's not something that housekeeping would notice since I assume they don't lock themselves in there when they're cleaning. But since DH and I still think we're newlyweds this would NEVER DO! We just put a call down and they came right up. Anything we needed, any questions we had, everthing was taken care of with a smile. It was just perfect.
And, I'm not sure if I'm following this post correctly, but if your concern is about check-in time you should know that the time is AFTER 4:00, not AT 4:00. Still they seem to do everything they can to get you in quickly. They also have this great phone system for you to call and check on your room so you don't have to waste time sitting around. Our room was ready right after we got off the Tower of Terror at MGM.
