Quick question. Does anyone know where the setting of the movie is based on? DH and I love the Victorian homes. It's such beautiful artwork. Has there ever been any talk of where it is supposed to be?

TIA

"This animated feature delightfully combines two of Walt Disney’s favorite themes: dogs and nostalgia for turn-of-the-century Americana. Lady makes her home in a charming residential area of a small New England town circa 1910, and the film’s art direction showcases the quaint gingerbread architecture of the era. Lady and the Tramp was the first animated feature produced in the CinemaScope® widescreen process. “CinemaScope gave the artists the opportunity—indeed, the necessity—to experiment with action, groupings, and setting,” said Walt Disney. “We were able to do more in our backgrounds and settings because we had a larger canvas on which to work.”
