I am having my tubes tied next Wednesday, and was wondering what to expect afterwards. Is there a lot of pain? I am 38, in good health and I exercise regularly. How long until I can expect to be able to walk for exercise again? I plan to go back to work on the following Tuesday, I am a secretary and it requires no lifting or strenuous activity. (Because of Dh's job, he would not being able to be on light duty so he cannot have a vasectomy. We are 1000% sure we are done with kids, and this seems to be our best option. )
Any information would be appreciated! Thanks.

... good luck on the op.
I am still about 35lbs overweight, but have lost 77 so figure this is a good time, especially since the colder weather will keep us in more, and the holidays are over now. Any other experiences? BTW, I have 2 kids ~ DS is 13 and DD is 11.
Not to mention, the hospital I had it done in put me completely under so I had the irritated throat due to the tube to go with it. Do not be afraid to take painkillers if you need them!
