M wife surprised me with a Bulova Piermont II Grandfather clock for my very 1st Father's Day this year. It was delivered to my house today. I have wanted one since I was a little boy, as the chimes bring back incredible memories of summers spent at my Grandparents' house where they owned one as well. Now that I got the schmaltz out of the way, my question is: Other than dusting it, what is the general upkeep like on a grandfather clock?
I only pulled one of the 3 chains so that it wouldn't chime, until I broke it.
One of these days I'm going to fork over the money to have it fixed. Enjoy your new clock!
