Hi All,

We're on the Disney Magic's July 6th cruise to the Baltic area. I had a question for others who have been on earlier Baltic cruises. In Tallinn we booked a private tour and the tour ends in Old Town. Afterwards we have to make our own way back to the ship. I was wondering if you knew if Disney provided a shuttle bus to and from the pier? Is it close enough to walk back to the pier from Old Town Tallinn? If not, what are the buses and/or taxis like there. I'm assuming they'll want to paid in Euros?? I would appreciate any help you can give me for planning this. Thanks.

They provided a shuttle in 2016 with drop off and pick up in the same place, very close to Old Town. I'm not sure about walking back to the ship but I do remember it being a fairly short ride. And yes, they take Euros in Tallinn.

1/ information from 2015- yes port shuttle, 2/ you can walk from the old town to the ship- not far. 3/ taxi many and plentiful and yes euros, some take cards. Baltic blog. http://torussiawithmickeybars.blogspot.co.uk/?m=1.

Care it's still a walk from the drop off at port entrance through shops to the ships. Photos in blog.

Personal experience from last year. We did the suggested walking tour of Old Town Tallinn out of Rick Steves' book on our own. Walked from the ship to and back from Old Town Tallinn; it did not take long at all. Very easy and a direct walk.

The sites we decided to enter took Euros. Our whole self-tour cost 3 Euros each.

I should add that we also just walked around on our own, met up with ABD tour groups several times. We really enjoyed exploring the area on our own. It was pretty easy to navigate in the area.

We did the DCL "Towers & Walls" tour. Bus to the top of old town, guided walk around up there, then down to lower old town. Got to climb up into a tower.

We loved Tallin. It is a really cool very old town. I would definitely go back there.

My then 6-year old walked back from Old Town to the pier last year. If she, who complains about having to walk more than to the letterbox, can do it, then anyone can :). It is a really easy walk. There are shuttle buses as well.
