I am trying to figure out fees. It seems there is no listing fee for the first 50 listings per month, but what about after the auction is over? I have money in paypal that I don't want to withdraw yet because I don't know what the fees will be. I tried looking on their site, but a lot of it is outdated information.

Fees can vary and ebay does change their fees from time to time. My best suggestion is when you are creating your sale click on the seller fees link that is next to your starting price. That will give you the most up to date information. For most sales, the current format is that there is no fee to post, only if the item sells. Then the fee is based on the starting price and the ending price. There are also fees associtated with some picture layouts or graphics you may use in your post.

I always leave money in my paypal account until I have paid my sales up to date and shipped my items. This way all my fees are taken care of before I transfer my money out of paypal. Hope this helps!

The first 50 auction listings are free each month. If you list more that 50 then it's usually 50 cents per listing. It just depends on what you include in the listing, how many categories it;s listed in, etc. You don't pay any fees on the the 50 free listings unless you sell an item. My overall selling fees (including paypal) are somewhere between 11-17% of the item's selling price.

If you go to your "my ebay" page, one of the tabs at the top should say "account." If you click on that you should see a balance of the fees that you currently owe. There is also a link for a one-time payment from your paypal account. I always do that and pay everything off before I withdraw anything from paypal.

Once a month your eBay final value fees (commissions) and listing fees if any will be charged to your credit card, or (if you chose that option) charged to your Paypal account with immediate withdrawal thereafter from your bank account or charging to your credit card if the Paypal account does not have enough.

When buyers pay you, the Paypal transaction fee is immediately deducted and the rest goes into your Paypal account for your immediate use.

I work on Ebay, and if your item sells, you are charged what is called a final value fee. If your auction/listing has charges associated with listing, that's a separate charge. If listing was free you will only have to pay the final value fee. You won't be charged if your item doesn't sell(aside from any listing charges). They take a percentage of what your item sold for, minus shipping. Ebay bills once a month for fees and takes them directly out of your Paypal. Here is more info on the final value fee with links to a calculator to find out what you will owe if your item does sell http://pages.ebay.com/help/sell/fvf.html
