Question for dining with a 10 year old - not on Dining Plan

I'm still trying to run all the numbers, and determine if we should get a package under free dining, or just go for the room discount, and pay for meals OOP.

We have a 5, 9 and 10 year old. We have tickets we bought through the Canadian promotion, so could take advantage of the sun & fun room only discount.

I'm wondering, if we are not on the dining plan, can my 10 year old order off the kids menu, or does Disney not allow that to happen? I'm specifically thinking at TS places, as that's the biggest difference in food offerings and cost.

I know Disney kids have to order off the kids menu, but I'm not sure about the reverse.... thanks for your help!

if you pay oop they will allow your son to order off the kid's menu. Occasionally they give adults trouble with it, especially at non disney owned restaurants, but never heard of them giving a kid trouble even older than 9. Exception is of course any aycte/fixed price meals - he will be charged as an adult there.

Yes, even adults can order off the kid's menu at the majority of Disney restaurants. He'll be fine.
