question for DCL cruisers among us

i've been debating this question for a while, and thought i'd come to a decision, but no.....apparently not yet...

i'm taking my mom and sister on the Disney Dream in October..

i plan on trying for a cabana when my booking window opens (in only 2 days )

so....i had decided to go for a cabana on serenity bay, but now i'm not sure...

i've read a few threads that say that the swimming is much better over by the family cabanas....the water deeper and the bottom less rocky...

so for those of you who have been on CC, what would you choose?
a day at serenity bay? or a day on a private cabana beach over by the family beach area?

all opinions, comments, thoughts are welcome!!!!!

To be honest all the cabanas were gone on our opening window day. All concierge take them up so don't be surprised if they have gond

The swimming is definitely better on the family beach. The water doesn't get deep on Serenity Bay until you are quite far out. But, personally, if I didn't have kids with me, I would choose Serenity Bay for the peace and quiet.

Rachel, I believe that Beth is staying in a concierge cabin so it probably won't be a problem.

yes, we're staying concierge, but even so, apparently the family cabanas completely book at that 120 day mark - by concierge and platinum return cruisers...


yes SB is quiet, but is it too far away from the action?

i have to try to get hold of my sister....she's way off in arizona and i keep missing the time i can call her...

the question is, how much does she actually want to swim? i don't know...

i remember i didn't like swimming in the water there for some reason....maybe it was too slimy feeling?
