I have sleep apnea and just started using a CPAP machine. Last night was the second night using it. Both nights, a couple of hours after falling asleep with it on, I woke up and felt like there was NO air coming through the hose, almost like I was suffocating, so I took the mask off and fell back to sleep. Has this ever happened to you?? The thing is, since I was barely awake, I don't know for sure if there was air coming through or not. If it happens again tonight I'll try and wake up enough to see whether or not the air is still flowing or not.
Anyone have a similar experience?? Thanks.
P.S. I have a doctor's appt for this coming Tuesday, so I will mention it to him, but thought I'd ask here, to see if anyone else had this happen to them when first using a CPAP.
