Question for BWV owners

Same question about where you USUALLY book.

11 months for Dec - I like the standard view - so that is when it is necessary.

We bought BWV to book BWV. We plan to always book early Dec or Oct at 11 mos.
We talk about trying SSR in 2007, then 10 mins into the conversation we change our minds back to the Boardwalk.

PS. We have only booked 1 trip at BWV so far. 1 bdr boardwalk view 9 days early dec 2005!

Bought a BWV contract mostly to take advantage of the 11 month window to snag those standard view units. So, we usually use BWV points to book at BWV. However, there have been quite a few occasions where I used our BWV points at OKW our other favorite resort because we usually plan longer trips when at OKW.

We bought at the BWV because that's where we'll stay most of the time. I love the location and it's nice to be able to use less points with a standard view.

I really didn't know how to answer. We do May at OKW and early December at BWV. So it's really not "all the DVC resorts equally". I did recently stay at VWL but not on my points (a friend's), loved that too. I love both but bought BWV because of the prime early December time.

If you would have asked this last year, I would have said try to book "all resorts equally"..

But last year, while staying at different resorts, we made a daytrip to BWV.. I couldn't believe how homesick we were... So this year, we're back..

Awww, my beloved Boardwalk resort...how do I love thee...let me count the ways.

Normally, I plan our Disney trips about a year in advance. So I definitely take advantage of booking BWV at 11 months for those points saving standard views! Only once did I book 11 months out and get stuck with preferred view (now pool/garden view) for a 2 bedroom. Oh well, I was still at my beloved Boardwalk.

So in Oct/Nov 2005, I got a 1 bedroom book standard view at the BOARDWALK! But I booked that back in early December, because BWV and BCV are popular for Food&Wine. My upcoming trip...I booked a studio about a month ago and got OKW! OKW was 4th on my list! I wanted BWV...nope...then I tried BCV...NOPE...then tried VWL...NOPE...

Oh well, I guess I'll give OKW a try finally. OKW owners seem very pleased with it. *sniff* *sniff* But it's not my beloved Boardwalk...

I voted mostly but the truth is we have never stayed any where else...only the BWV...8 times at last out...I love my long hallways...

I'm with DebbieB on not knowing how to answer. I try to stay at BWV at least once a year. I go down to WDW in Oct. every year with friends and we usually end up at OKW (love those two bedrooms). This year - Feb. - OKW, Oct. - OKW and Dec. - BWV.

I wanted BWV for my Feb. trip but there was no room at the inn, so to speak. Course I didn't plan the trip till January.

We have owned BWV since 2000 and have only used the BWV points to stay at BWV and for a 4 day cruise. We also own BCV points and have only used them to stay at BCV so far.

Next year I plan to try and stay in another DVC resort for once!

I voted mostly use our BWV points at BWV

We own at 3 DVC resorts... OKW, BCV, and BWV. We use our BWV points for BWV stays, BCV points for BCV stays and OKW points for everything else.... Mostly OKW and HHI.

I checked mostly BWV in the poll, but truth be told we only closed lasT November and while I bought BwV for those lower point values and the ability to book there in Oct-Dec, we prefer to stay at OKW when we go Pres week.

We love the Beach Club and used to stay there a lot. We first considered DVC in 2000 when they announced plans for BCV. We went to a presentation hoping to buy a preconstruction contract on BCV (of course we couldn’t) and left the presentation with a signed contract to buy into BWV, and have never regretted it. We initially book BWV every year, but on two occasions we have switched our reservation to BCV at the 7-month window.

We love Boardwalk so most of our trips are there. Having said that we like trying others as well. So far we've done:


VWL - didn't care for it - won't go back

OKW - nice and might do it again with another road trip vacation but most likely wouldn't do it without a car.

BCV - nice and would do it again.

We've toured SSR but haven't stayed there you, but most likely will at some point in the future.

bwv is our home (with some added points at wl). i the odd member out in that we have used our points (members since 1999) for disney cruise lines, alaska cruise, clarmont hotel-and ONLY ONCE at bwv! but we live on the west coast, so when we go to wdw it's for a nice long stay. we loved bwv-did a standard view which was great because it was nice and quiet, and had the great water slide at the pool. we are thinking of doing another 10 or 14 day trip in the next year and may try out wl (I love the look of the landscaping).

I have only booked BWV so far. I do love the resort and the location.

I have a small (100 pt) contract at BWV, and the rest of my points are at BCV. That being said, I've only stayed at BWV and will until forced to do otherwise. I carefully manage those 100 BWV points so I can use them in early December and haven't had a problem getting BWV at 7 months with my BCV points so far for other times of the year (knocking on wood). I'd love to have more BWV points!

We own at BWV and except for 2 nights in an Ocean view room at VB in 2003, we've only used points at BWV. I don't see that changing. Even when I'm tempted to stay elsewhere - and I have been, when it comes time to book, I just can't give up the fabulous location and the lower point option of standard views.
