Question for brides using outside photography

I have a question for brides who are using (or used) outside photography at their Escape wedding...

Since you used an outside vendor for the wedding, were you able to use the Disney Photography that is included in the package at another time? If so, when? Can you put it toward an EPCOT or MK wedding shoot?

I don't want to waste something I'm paying for, but I want more coverage for my wedding than Disney is offering. :confused3

Thanks!
Em

I know that they used to let you substitute the wedding day coverage for a honeymoon photo shoot but I think they stopped doing that. I am not 100% sure but somebody will come along that can confirm that I am sure.

I am also wondering this! And if you use an outside photog for the wedding part, can you use the Disney photog part of the package for your dessert party?

Yes they do have a photo package for dessert parties.

I'm sure LurkyLoo can confirm, but I think I read in her book, that you can no longer substitute it for the engagement or honeymoon shoot that used to be allowed.

You can add photography services onto the 2-hours they give you. and still get the credit towards. I remember inquiring from my Escape consultant about it, and remember hearing about some brides doing so.

Hi!

So far, it sounds like Disney is still letting you swap the included Escape Wedding photography for one thing: an engagement portrait shoot in one of the parks. They won't let you apply it to dessert party photography or the Magic Kingdom bridal portrait session or anything else. And the honeymoon shoot they give you only comes with two 5x7s in a folio, not the 20 images or whatever it is you get when you pay full price for the session.

Nobody's sure how much longer they will allow this swap, though, so get it while you still can! :cutie:

We swapped it for a photo shoot at the Poly instead, but more recently I've seen a lot of people saying they weren't allowed to trade it at all.

I'm not sure whether anyone has had success with swapping lately?

Ideally we wanted to swap it for dessert party photography, but they wouldn't offer this as an option, just the honeymoon type shoot for 1 hour.
