question for barber shop experts

we're going next week-how difficult will it be to get a haircut 4ish on Tues, Nov 23?-also anybody know if they close for Thanksgiving??

It may be busy because that would be after the end of the 3PM parade. Lots of folks in that area. I don't think they close for Thanksgiving.

That's cutting it close (no pun intended). I've gone in around 2pm and there was a 30 minute wait. While I was waiting, the line had grown by another 3 people. By the time it was our turn, the wait was about 1 1/2 hrs.

It had grown that much because like me, I had 2 kids to cut, the people in front of me had 3 kids + 2 dads ,the people behind me had a baby, 1 toddler, 1 dad. Each of those would take a minimum of 15 minutes to cut and they only have 2 barbers working. Not to mention if the kids are uncooperative then it takes longer.

I would say if you can't do it first thing in the morning, then do it another day. Or see how things are first. If the line is to the door by 2 people, skip it.

We did it just before the parade. We waited about 10 minutes and after that had a perfect spot to view the parade.

Last December, I believe it was on the 15th, I got my haircut at MK. I waited in line for about 1 hour with my grandma. The 3:00 parade came by just as I was getting into the chair...it was a great view of the parade from the chair! It was also nice for my grandma to watch the parade while she waited for me...

I have had my haircut on Main Street five times and I have always had to wait at least 30 minutes. Everytime has been in the afternoon though, the morning might be slower. Have fun!
