What happens say if you book a PS for 10 and only 7 show up?

I'm in the process of making my PS's trying to accomodate everyone. If I know that there will only be 7 showing I will call in advance to have them adjust.

But what if 1/2 the party isn't together and forget about the PS. Do they make you wait longer or charge you for the extra plate? They didn't ask for a credit card.

Lisa i am pretty sure that if you make a ps for 10, they will not seat you until all 10 are at the resturant.

Even if only off by 1? I'm not so sure everyone will make it.

we had a PS for 5 at cindy's and only 2 of us were able to make it. i did try to amend the pS, but was not allowed to do so. so, just the 2 of us showed up and had the "honeymoon" table!

If you show up with fewer people than your PS and KNOW the others won't be coming, you should have no problem. They'll seat you as soon as they have a table for you that fits the new size of your party. This has happened to our family over the years as someone gets sick or is just too tired to go to dinner.

However if you show up and are not sure if the others will show, I don't think they'll seat you until you know or give up on the others. Restaurants usually insist on the whole party being present before they'll seat you....even if it's a new size party.

I made a PS for Citrico's just the other day and had a similar question. I made the PS for 4 but I am not sure if my DS's will be going with us or not. The person I spoke with said that my table would seat 2 to 4, so it was okay if only 2 showed up. She said some of the tables seat 4 to 6 and if I had one of those it would not be okay and I would have to change the PS.

Maybe you could call and get information about the tables they have reserved for you.
