Right now I have a Room-Only reservation from March 4-10 with AAA discount. I have to buy my AAA membership, but I will soon though! I wanted to really get a Magic your way Plus Dinning package, but I will lose my AAA discount. WDW quoted me a price of about 1160 for the pop century and a 1 day ticket ( I really dont need tickets, since i have a 10 day no expiration that has 5 days on them). If I were to book the same deal through a AAA Travel Agency, how much of a discount would I have gotten?

I REALLY want a the dinning plan. I just got back from WDW with the free dinning and we loved it. Just 2 adults. Even if we would had paid for it, it would be worth it. It more than pays for itself. So if AAA gives me a better price than WDW, I would most definately do through AAA.

Will Magical Express be offered to me even through a AAA Travel Agent?

Thanks!

I'm in the same boat. I have a room-only for 4 nights at CBR through AAA. We've got 3 rooms (7 people in our travel party), and my hotel bill is something like $562 per room.

So, do I switch to the Dining Plan, but lose the AAA discount? I've never done the dining plan. At the TS restaurants, can you order anything on the menu for the main course, or are you limited?

I hope someone answers this post soon because I'm trying to decide what to do.

I booked my trip throught AAA before I knew about the dining plan. When I found out about it and asked my TA, she added it on...and it only cost $25 per person per day, not $35!!! Our package is:

Roundtrip on Northwest Airlines
Magic Express transportation
5 nights at Beach Club
4 day Park Hopper
Cirque du Soilel
Dining Plan for 5 days
Travel Insurance

I just picked up my documents yesterday; the ME tags weren't there yet, but my TA says they've been coming 21 days prior to the trip. They will come to her, then we can pick them up at her office.

You get anything in the menu EXCEPT alcoholic beverages. So you can get a virgin drink if you would like (but where's the fun in that! :earboy2: ) It is so worth it!

so through a AAA travel agent package, do you still get to keep the AAA hotel rate?

We've booked twice through AAA - one we booked today. We got the Pop Century AAA rate at 15 percent off, dining, and one day tickets. Plus you get a AAA Diamond parking pass, voucher for MK lounge once, etc. We never did a package until our vacation last month. We were pleased with our AAA package. My advice is to know what you want and what the price should be. That way you'll know you got the room discount. Also, we were told a couple of times we couldn't do only one day tickets. We knew we could. We were persistent. Watch out for travel insurance unless you want it.

I did the package through AAA and got a discount on the room rate. The rack rate is $77/night and we are paying $70. We initially paid for the dining plan, then the agent discounted us about $510 for the "free" dining promo. According to my numbers the dining package initially cost us $629 for 2 adults & 2 kids, so it didn't really turn out to be "free", but $119 for four people to eat for 7 days ain't bad! I don't know if we saved anything on the park hoppers. I'm financially challenged, and that calculation hurts my head. I hope this helps.

You can book a package or room only through AAA and get the discounted rates however it will be the only discount you are able to get. If Disney offers promotions like the free dining you must choose either the promotion or the AAA discount - not both. You will need to do the math because depending on what resort you are staying at/package you have booked the AAA discount may be greater than a promotional discount. IE: we are staying at the value resorts and the AAA discount was only $100.00 whereas the free dining will save us at least $1000.00 over the 10 nights we are there so it was worth it for us to not get the AAA rate - but we did still book through AAA as it is easier to make a local phone call to the same person each time I had a question or needed to adjust our reservation. If you book with just a AAA discount and a better discount becomes available you can call AAA and change your reservation as long as you are 45+ days out from arrival date.
