We are leaving tomorrow morning for the world and are using ME. I was wondering how much, if anything people tip the driver of the bus? Thanks!!

Your family must be so excited!

Can't help you out with the answer but wanted to wish you a very
:tink: MAGICAL trip!

I've read here in many different posts that the tipping is already included in the fee that Disney pays for the ME service. Only time you need to tip is if you bring your own bags and the driver has to put them under the bus for you.

I too am using ME tomorrow! Can't wait!

The only tip that Disney pays on your behalf is the tip to the bellman who delivers the bags to your room (if you use Magical Express as designed). That's why you don't need to be in your room if when your luggage is delivered.

Disney contracts with Mears to drive the Magical Express motorcoaches. Mears pays wages to the drivers. When a driver handles your luggage or gives you extra attention, it's customary and appropriate to tip the driver.

I would agree with this....

I give at least $1/bag/stroller/car seat stuck under the bus. If the driver does anything extra that makes my trip more enjoyable I tip accordingly.

Hope those that left today are having fun!!!
For those of us left behind....it always amazed me to see that bus driver pull off a ton of luggage per family, and have that family say thanks and walk away!!! I know, I know...a tip is not mandatory. But, if that driver pulls off 5-6 pieces of luggage for you, then it would be nice to give him $5. It was almost funny to watch this scenario unfold....family of 6 gets off the bus...driver pulls out about 8 pieces of luggage, both checked and carryon. The family grabs the bags, as they head off (all with eyes averted) the dad says.."Oh, thanks...have a nice day." all the while never making eye contact and igoring those who have handed the driver a tip. And at that I would say that it was only about 5 or 6 people that tipped.
So...I tip anyway. $5 whether or not they touch a bag. Unless, of course, the driver did a pretty poor job. I did have one of those...no personality at all...never even cracked a smile. Compared to the driver we got who kept up a constant spiel about Orlando, WDW, Florida in general, alligators..it was hysterical.
