OK, we own at VWL (have stayed three times) and BWV (have yet to stay), and just spent 3 nights of our last trip at BCV. We love the VWL Villas lobby and the Iron Spike room. Nice quiet, cozy places to sit and relax. Also, we love the Solarium, Breezeway, and TV room at the BCV. More nice quiet, cozy places to sit and relax. So, are there similar places at the BWV? I know there is the community hall, but that does not look like a quiet place at all. Are there any nooks, crannies or rooms in the villas buildings at the BWV where you can sit and relax? Thanks for any info everyone - we want to get excited for our first BWV stay. Of course, we just changed our May 2003 reservation to BCV - so it may not be until May 2004 that we actually stay at BWV.

Well there is the Bellevue Room bar and the quiet pool..actually the covered area just outside Community Hall which looks at the Quiet Pool.

I like the Bellvue Room, too. They used to serve coffee and donuts there for breaky, but no more. It is a quiet little place with old time radio in the background. I love to check out the books. I actually took one home to finish reading and will return it next trip in March. I also like the rockers on the veranda outside the main lobby.

Also if you go past the Bellevue Room, take elevator 1 floor down and go outside on the Inn side there is a quiet pool there, also. It is also the area where the Garden rooms face from the Inn. There are the most lovely gardens there! One large rose garden with a a path and a small garden (picket fence enclosed but easy to view) behind each Garden Room. Those gardens appear to be themed (white garden , yellow garden, herbs, etc). It is truly a "quiet pool" area. I have NEVER seen a single soul back there except a gardener. I have never seen anyone using the pool. We love to wander back there- a nice stroll and heaven if you are a gardener.

Here's another vote for the Bellvue Room and the rockers on the verandah. Also under the steps leading up from the boardwalk to the lobby there are very comfy chairs and tables to relax in and if you walk around past ESPN there is a lovely gazebo on the water both are very nice spots to just sit back and take in the awesome atmosphere.

Thanks for the input everyone. We are aware of most of the "public" places to sit and relax around the BW resort. By "public" I mean available to and used by everyone staying at the BW, be it the Inn or Villas. We were wondering if there were any more "private" quiet areas that are pretty much part of the BWV and kind of seperate from the general BW resort.

The ONLY drawback we have been able to find in the BWV is that it is too integrated into the BW resort. For some that may be a plus. However, what we like about VWL and BCV is that the Villas, while connected to their respective resorts, are seperate from the resorts. They each have a seperate lobby and sitting areas that are very relaxing and pretty much dedicated for the use of those staying in the Villas.

We have the Disney Magazine that described the BW before it opened. The article mentioned The Attic as a private DVC area. We joined in 2000 and BWV is our home. On our last visit we finally found the Attic, it is located over Jellyrolls. It was open for a wedding party or something and we got a peek inside. It would be a great place for relaxing but it is usally locked!! Anyone know why?
