I have a question for a friend of mine...she wants to know what her cheapest hotel option is for being on the monorail? she doesn't care about view or anything like that....can someone advise me please.

I would guess it's the CR garden wing standard view.

Remind too that room rates vary with the Disney seasons. If she wants lowest rate, explore VALUE SEASON rates.

For deluxes, typically a period in January and then again the second half of August.

Mid July starts value season 2- which is slightly higher but still among the lowest prices.

There is value and value II pricing. According to All Ears for 2013:

Value - 1/2-2/13; 8/18-9/26

Value II - 7/14-8/17

Well your friends best bet would be to choose CR garden wing standard view. It's close to MK, has nice rooms, and is close to the pool.

You would need to rent points at BLT but at an average need of 19 points a night at 13/pt would be less than $250 a night.

Many sites rent points.

Mousesavers.com also has all the room rates in a nice chart. You'll also want to check which of the 3 Hotels has a better sale going on. Although, I'll guess that Contemporary will have the best (or same) percentage off and your Contemporary Garden Wing Standard View will rank the lowest cost.

In all of my research Contemporary Garden Wing is the cheapest option on the monorail.
