Question for 50s Prime Time veterans!

My DD and I have been there a couple of times, and never really got a waiter who was much fun. This time we're bringing my boyfriend whose never been to Disney AND we're celebrating his birthday! I want a waiter/waitress who will give him the works!

Who would you recommend? And also, to get an idea, please let me know how many times have you been to the PTC?

I hesitate to name people because you never know if they are scheduled that day or if their section is full. What I've done is to ask the host/hostess for someone who's really interactive. Sometimes we get it, sometimes we don't. (Ate at PTC about 8 times now. It's a must-do for us!)

Anyway, 2 servers stand out in my memory -- Aunt Claire who was hands-down the best server we've ever had there. She was into the role 110% (if that's possible). We even have a picture of her smushed into our group (DW, DF, DM, DB).

For our 25th anniversary, we had Uncle Wex. He started a little laid back at first, but he soon warmed up to the role and by the end of the evening he had us kissing by asking people to "clink" their glasses. The house rule was -- we kiss or we do "I'm a Little Teapot" until he decides it's ok for us to stop. Soon it was a bite of food, kiss, another bite, kiss... well, dinner took a LONG time that night. Anytime a new group came it, the whole thing started all over. It was the best anniversary dinner we've ever had!

Our favorite is Cousin Chris. He was terrific, one of our best memories. I'm not sure how you would go about getting a specific server. Anyone know what the turnover rate for employees might be???

Uncle Spence is great too. We had a boring server the first time. A very young girl who probably wished to be anywhere but there.
We've been there 2X and enjoyed the food the first time, but probably wouldn't have tried it again if it were for all the great post here. Spence was wonderful and really made a memorable night for the day we met my sister's fiancee.

We had Aunt Claire last Nov/Dec and she was hilarious!!! We loved her!!! She brought out the family's photo book for us to look at. As we were leaving, we asked her to take a picture with us - and she laid across the counter with us in the background! She was super!!!

We hope to ask for her again when we go back Dec 5!

Uncle Tim was highly ammusing, with a very dry delivery, which to me made him all the more funny........

Although we didnt have Mom as our server she was working the tables around us and seemed fun....... giving the tables trivia puzzles to work on, and scolding those who didnt eat their beans.....

We have only eatten there twice, but just booked our third visit.

We will be eating here for the first time in Feb. I hope they give my mother (72 first time to WDW) a real run for the money. She has dished out table manners for years --- now I hope she gets it back

We had Mom Barbara on 10/22. She was funny... threatened to put my mom in the corner. Picked on my husband about his pony tail. My dad liked it so much, he promised her that when he came in from playing, he would cut the grass, then he gave her a hug.

you never know who is going to wait on you. But for a birthday that should be something to help them get them and you in the spirit. Maybe wear something like a large hat or a big birthday pin. That helps them. Have a great time.

Our server caught me putting lipstick on, the whole room heard her yell "Young lady, take that to the rest room, nobody wants to see that!" We all had a good laugh.
