Question concerning Green Light GAC

The "Green light" stamp on the GAC is given to Make A Wish children to bypass the line during their trip.

Yes, this is the only way I know of to get the Green Light stamp--it is only for Make a Wish trips. I only know of one person who has had a green light stamp, and like many Make a Wish children he is no longer alive, unfortunately. He went to WDW.

For the OP, you will need to just go to City Hall and get a Guest Assistance Pass, but this is not a Green Light Stamp.

It's actually quite easy and quick to search for threads started by a user. I know sometimes if I see a question that seems duplicated sometimes I search to see if there was recently a thread about the same question. Typically, if someone wanted more info, you would comment on the original thread asking for additional responses. That way people can see what has already been said.

My personal recent experience was with my friend who has Rheumatoid Arthritis and walks with a cane. She was told to rent a wheelchair if she wanted special accommodation, which she passed on doing. She just went on less rides and took regular breaks to sit down and rest. She also went back to the hotel early.

Knowing how Disneyland handles a GAC is important to you. It's good you are trying to be prepared for your trip.
Look at the maps and know areas where you'll be able to rest if you need to. Remember to listen to your body. I also check where the smoking sections are so I can avoid the smokers.

Having a good touring plan and understanding the FP system can work better than using a GAC. GAC is not a front of the line pass, and often times the waits can be longer than the standby or fast pass. We traveled with a large party and we split the group due to our size. Often times the group using the FP's finished the ride considerably earlier than the ones using the wheelchair entrance.

Although you are a recent "Wish Kid" this is not a Make a Wish trip. I would go with the expectation that the special pass you had last time was a one-time thing to avoid disappointment and so you can start planning accordingly.

I've read through a lot of threads here and on the Dis-abilities board. It's really difficult for people to tell you what to expect because many people's illnesses are as unique as the Cast Member who ends up making a recommendation for how you can utilize a GAC.

Hey, we're going to DLR around Memorial Day weekend and will be staying in California for 2 weeks. We'll be visiting both Disney parks quite often and the questions/doubts in regards to what type of GAC would be provided for me and my family.

Have you guys ever seen someone with a Green Light A.K.A. Stop Light GAC at DLR/DCA? It's not a rarity at WDW, but I've never witnessed one in California.
We will be a group of four and I am a (recent) former Make-A-Wish child (my trip was in August 2011). I still find myself in the same conditions. The GAC at WDW had stampped on it a green stop light which allowed me easy access to the rides and definitely aided me with stamina issues and heat sensitivity. I do not use a wheelchair ( as keeping myself active is, believe it or not, better for me) and it is not in our budget to rent one either. Botom line, if we show the CM at City Hall our WDW GAC, CAN they provide us with the Green Light stamped GAC? Or is it breaking the rules or something?

Anyone with any experience?
