My MIL gave us some old AAA single day tickets. I'm talking OLD, they are the old ones that I remember from when I went as a child. In fact they are so old that the price listed on the back of them is $37.00.:scared1: It doesn't have an experation date or anything. Can these still be used? I have 3 adult and 1 child ticket. I've been holding onto them for a year because I just didn't know. Anybody have any ideas?

I believe they're still usable, although you'll have to stop at Guest Relations before you get to the turnstyle and have the tickets replaced with ones that have a magnetic stripe on them, so they can go through the automated turnstyle equipment.

They are definitley good. We traded in 2 children passes from 1984. They each had 1 day remaining and we got an adult 2 day pass with it. I thought this was really good because there was only Epcot and MK when they were purchased.

Yup, you should have no problem using them. Since the tickets were issued before 1998, you may not be able to use them for admission to the Animal Kingdom. Disney once had a policy that tickets issued before the 5/1/98 opening of DAK could not be used for admission to that park. Not sure if they are still holding fast to that policy or not.

If you ask nicely, the CM handling your ticket exchange may be willing to stamp the passes "VOID" and give them back to you as a souvenir. ;)

Also, note that the CM may try to convince you to use the value of the passes toward a new park hopper pass purchase. This typically doesn't return very good value to you. Disney will only apply the original cost of the passes you are holding--NOT the present-day value--toward the price of a new ticket. You're much better off just redeeming the old passes for single-day admission and buying brand new passes for your other days.

It lasted all of 9 months. Disney abandoned that restriction in January of 1999.

Thanks everyone! My husband and I already have seasonal passes since we only live 3 hours away. So I was thinking that the single day tickets would be perfect for bringing my neices and nephews up one day. There are six of them, all from one family and they would NEVER be able to afford a trip to disney. But my husband and I could bring a couple at a time for a day trip.
