Question/Concern about Vegan Food Onboard

nicholas, did you try the stack of vegetables?? That was my favorite...!

I didn't really have any problems either... ate a whole lot of salads, and my favorite fruits - pineapple and mango... no shortage of either of these!

I did have the stack! That was the first night's dinner, if I recall. It was tasty!

I'm glad to hear you didn't starve to death. I didn't figure you would, though some menus are easier to adapt than others and I'm sure salads for dinner gets dull.

I'm thinkin' that you probably didn't gain the 8 lbs in 7 days that I did last time.

If we all ate like you did we'd be a whole lot healthier coming off the ship.

Ever thought of putting together a daily plan of how to come off a Disney cruise healthier than when you went on?????? I'm serious!

I am a very fit, healthy eater normally but when I get on board I become a human vacuum sucking up all of the things I don't usually consume, all in the name of "vacation".

I'd give it a go!

HAHAH!

Don't get me wrong. I ate TONS. I was up on deck 9 having veggie burgers and fries and having buffets at Topsiders every chance I got. I had about twice as many HUGE meals in a day than I normally do.

But yeah, I didn't gain and single pound the entire time. I guess I'm just lucky that way. High metabolism in addition to eating healthier foods, I guess.

I actually ate about the quantity I eat at home. I did gain 3 pounds - not that I have to worry about it - I'm a light weight as it is. But I just noticed it because I weigh myself every morning. The next day the 3 pounds were gone, which tells me I retained water from the LOADS of sodium in the food. This usually happens to me when I eat out for any good amount of time (like vacation). I did notice though that being vegan kind of restricted what I would have normally ate (on previous cruises) so I didn't just indulge and eat everything in sight...
