QUESTION? Can you take a softside cooler into the parks

I have read where people have taken them in and where they are not allowed. I dont want to carry one and have to take it back to the resort. Can anyone give me a definitive answer on this maybe a cast member? I certainly dont want to do anything wrong this is why I am asking.

We've never had a problem taking one in. They will check it at the entrance, but they have never told us not to bring it into the parks.

As far as I know, they will only stop you because of what's in the bag, not what kind of bag it is. They won't allow glass containers or alcoholic beverages. The only exception to this is they will allow baby food in glass containers. Turning people away because they have a small cooler just isn't the Disney spirit. I doubt the few people that bring in their own food really cut into Disney profits much anyway. And if it upset enough people, that would .

Thank you, we just prefer the pepsi to the coke products and Id rather my dd have juice. Not really that concerned with taking food in.

I was just there in June and had no problem. Maybe someone who told you misunderstood. There is a new procedure to enter the parks. If you have any sort of bag, even a purse or fannypack you must enter at the security check point that a security officer checks bags. There is another entrance for people with no bags. They really don't care what kind of drinks you bring in they just want to check the bag and make sure nothing unsafe is being bought in. They do a nice job too. I think they check very thoroughly. Security at Disney should be working for the airlines.

We dont bring in coolers but just got back last week and saw many sizes and shapes throughout the park.

we always take a small softside cooler in - its the size that holds 6 cans - we carry juice and snacks for the kids so that we can give them something a bit more familiar than the park food now and again. We have never been stopped, and I would be amazed if we were.

if you were taken a big hardsided cooler in , then I would imagine they would stop you

We were there for July 4th and took a cooler in every day with sodas, waters, juice, and snacks. It was always checked like the other bags, but there was never any comment other than a joke or two about sharing.

I think the only thing they might prohibit is one that you pulled along behind you.

We were there between charley and frances in August. We took in a small soft sided coller and there was no problem. Planning oni for Dec trip as well.
