Question: Buying @ BCV & sell VWL

We bought 50 pts at VWL several months ago. I would have liked to purchase pts at BCV (our home resort) but they weren't available at the time and the price was increasing in 2 days. This is what we are thinking and I'd like some opinions on it....I'd like to buy 50 pts at BCV (it would be June UY) and we'd wait if we have to as I am sure there's a wait. Then, once that comes through we'd sell the 50 VWL pts. Would Disney buy them back or should I sell them through TTS? And would anyone want them? I'm sure we will pay more for the BCV pts, but to me..it is a pain in the as* to have the contracts at 2 different places. It would be OK if there were like 100 pts or more, but it's not. Thinking back, we should have just waited for the BCV pts in the first place. Help?

I don't think Disney buys back direct, although (as you know) they exercise their ROFR option when they want.

Timeshare resellers often have lists of people who want to make smaller purchases. When something like 50 VWL points show up, they start making calls to the folks on their waiting list. So most times smaller resales like this never make it to the public.

If it helps, this is very similar to what we did. We sold 25 VWL points on the resale market. We sold the points ourselves, on the TUG website, and sold the points the first day they were advertised. So I don't think you have to worry too much about "does anyone want them?" Before we did this, we talked to our guide about selling the points directly to Disney, or "swapping", since we wanted to switch home resorts (sort of like you're interested in doing) and at that time, at least, Disney didn't do that. Feel free to PM me if you want any specifics.

There is definitely a market for 50 points. Just today my parents said they would love 50 or 60 VWL points. They adore the VWL and would like to have 4 or 5 nights in a studio there every year after their Marriott Grande Vista stay. I even thought about calling our guide to find out if we could do an add-on at VWL and have it listed under my parents and our names, but I don't know if that's possible or not?
