Question about yearly dues

My husband and I are seriously considering buying into the DVC, but we want to make sure we understand all the financial aspects. I know the yearly dues change from year to year, but can anyone tell me how much on average they go up every year?

Historically, annual fees at DVC resorts have increased an average of 4% per year. Most years they have increased, but have decreased on a few occasions. I think the greatest increase was around 8%.

There is a maximum limit of 15% in a year, unless the owners vote to allow a higher increase, but there has never been an increase anywhere near that level.

Each resort has it's own fee per point and there is quite a range with SSR the lowest and VB highest - from just under $4 to $5.27.
