Question about World Showcase shops

Aloha!

I'm new here (well, my wife has been coming to this site for like 2 years, but she's a lurker... for shame, I know). At any rate we just got back from DW after being trapped down there by Frances for 3 extra days.

Because we had to pay $$$ for 3 extra nights at our hotel (AKL) we were unable to purchase something we wanted from the China World Showcase shop. I was really just wondering if anyone knew of any sites that sold merchandise from those shops? Import store or whatnot.

I've done some extensive searches on the web but came up empty handed so I'm leaning towards no, but figured it would be worth a shot :). Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you!

Stitch

If you email them, giving a description of what you want, they're pretty good about getting back to you quickly with purchasing info.

WDW.mail.order@disneyworld.com

There is also a phone number you can call, but I don't have it at my fingertips right now.

PS - I'm sorry that you had to be there through Frances! I've heard it got pretty rough. :earseek: I hope you get what you wanted. :)

Hi and welcome fellow New Englander!

:wave2:

That link they gave you is great. I used it myself recently to buy a few things from one of the WDW shops. They can locate just about anything in any WDW shop. The only extra charge is shipping and it's pretty reasonable and takes about 2 weeks.

Wow, quite the greeting! :) I will have to look into those. The only problem with this item we saw is there was only one of it at the China store and there was no item number on it to reference. Hopefully I'll luck out though, the misses really wanted it so maybe it'll be a nice Christmas present :)

Thank you everyone and nice to be aboard :)

I love this place! :teeth: There are lots of good people here.

Anyway, don't worry about not having an item number. They are incredibly good at figuring out what you are interested in. Just give them the best description you can.

I wish, though, that they had a Web site where you could view the items so you could be sure it's what you wanted, but I guess they think people wouldn't come to the parks?? Nah - being there is much more fun than shopping! :teeth:
