Question about Wishes for Poly and CG

The week we are at Disneyworld Wishes is scheduled two times, starting at 8:00 PM.

The first time we have 8:40 PM dinner res at Poly. What would you do ???

I.e. Get to Poly by 8:00 PM watch some of Wishes and check in by 8:40
Check in and go out to the beach to watch Wishes
Check in and just wait for our table.??

The second day Wishes is playing we have 9:00 PM res at California Grill

Can we check in early (by 8:00 PM ) and go up to the Observation Deck

Which restaurant has the best viewing for Wishes

I'd get to the Poly prior to 8pm and sit in the little lounge area outside of Ohana and watch the fireworks from there. They pipe in the music and the "weather" is always perfect (cause you're inside ). Wishes will be over by the time you need to check in.

The problem with the Ohana lounge is that it will probably be crazy crowded and you will not be able to get near the windows.

I would watch Wishes from the Poly beach and then go in and check in for your reservation. They pipe the music to the beach and it is a great view. You will have plenty of time to get in for your dinner.

At the Polynesian I would check-in and wait for your table, because I am 99.9% sure the pagers from Ohana won't work outside and they always recommend you stay very close.

At the Contemporary I have read that other guests have arrived early for their ADR's at the California Grill to watch Wishes, so I don't see that being a problem.
