Question about WISH images and siggy guidelines

Do the WISH images from the "smilie" list still count towards the 3 image maximum limit in a siggy?

I know that the official rules posted at the top of the page still say

Note also that WISH images each count toward the maximum of three images allowed

But that was posted in 2005 when the WISH images were still clip art. They were added to the smilie I think last year when the server was upgraded? So does that mean that they no longer count toward the 3 image limit just like the DIS smilies?

I think that our "sticky" needs to be updated. I've copied the info link from the DISboards.com Guidelines and item 10 gives the specifics.

10. SIGNATURES: Your graphics may not exceed 550 pixels in width in total and or 200 pixels in height individually.
There is a limit of 3 graphics not including smilies.
Clipart may not exceed a cumulative size of 50,000 bytes (50k)
You may have up to 12 lines of text maximum in your signature inclusive of any code required to post your selected graphics
Links that lead to other sites must follow the rules stated in Guideline no. 8
The DIS reserves the right to remove any clipart, even if it meets these standards, that causes technical problems with the boards, or that we deem inappropriate.

WISH clippies are now part of smilies and then I would say are not counted as graphics. Keep in mind however there is a signiture size limit and these would count toward the overall size limitation.

Thanks. I thought that I had read somewhere that they no longer counted in the image limit but couldn't find it. Then read that on the sticky here so wanted to check.

I do think I am at or slightly over the 12 line limit so I will go ahead and head to the Tech board anyway. I am not sure how you can count lines for the pictures

ie the wish running team, and wish group clippies ie challenges, marathons...

This I know for sure. The "extra" WISH clip art as I have empahsized in bold in the original quote are not part of the smilies, therefore they are to each count toward the 3-limit. Sigh, choices we must make. I really like my WISH clippies too.

No, I just added all I want to have and then posted on the Tech board to have someone look at it and see. I am still waiting to see. I know that I am okay on the 3 images, but I think I will probably have to take my name image out. I am guessing I am over the 12 line thing. No one has answered me over there yet.

Worst case I know that someone in charge will let me know if I have crossed the line and I will fix it, I just like to fix it myself before someone tells me too.

I am really glad that the WISH clippies are on the smilie list now so they can be used and NOT count toward the 3 image limit. That is really cool!


ETA: Just got an answer on the TECH board and I only have 6 lines in my siggy! I am totally legal! YEAH!!
