Question about wine pairing?

This is probably a dumb question but what exactly is wine pairing? I've seen it listed on a few menus while browsing them online. Is it a good deal?
My best guess is that they bring you a glass or partial glass of wine with each course. Is that right? Thanks!

That is exactly it....a partial glass of wine that is paired with the course. The amount of wine served seems to depend on your server. We've received anywhere from 1/3 to close to 3/4 but it usually seems to be around 1/2 in our experience.

It is a very nice way to try a variety of wines that have been expertly chosen to accompany particular dishes.

I'll second that--or, Mrs. Uncleromulus will (she's the wine expert). She will always get the wine pairings when offered at Disney restaurants
