We are going to be on the basic dining plan and I have a question about WCC....Can you order the Skillet on the dining plan? Is that one per person or per table? What is covered on the dining plan? Would it make more sense to order one skillet for all three of us and pay out of pocket here? Thanks!

another thought? if say he orders the skillet and him and DS eat that, what if I want to order something else? Or does everyone have to eat the skillet if it is ordered?

We have eaten here several times on the DDP and have gotten the skillet. Last year everyone got the skillet and they just brought it out to cover the entire table. There were about 10 of us. The year before we ate here and some got the skillet and others ordered off the menu. You can do either. With the skillet they will continue to bring out all that you want and with a menu order it is just a fixed plate. Then of course there is a dessert after the meal, the chocolate cake is awesome. But some of the people at the table ate the apple pie which looked great! It is a fun place to eat and we enjoyed it. The resort is beautiful!:)

Oh, I forgot to mention some of the people at our table got the bottomless shake as a drink. They were able to try several different types of shakes. You can also get it as the dessert.

As many people as want can order the skillet and they will fill the skillet with enough food for that many people and then bring more. We ordered the skillet in September (and we were sorry we did--it was awful) and they offered us refills on anything we wanted. We did, however, love the chocolate shakes.

December 2008 experience on the standard DDP --
DH and I ordered the skillet, DD ordered off the menu. We even asked for just salad for 1 so as not to waste (I am not a salad person). We had refills on the mashed potatoes and chicken.
DD had a smoothie that was refilled with no problem.
DH and I had bottomless shakes - he stuck with vanilla and I had the "creamsicle orange" and "cotton candy". Creamsicle wonderful, cotton candy so-so.
We all had dessert. I don't remember what it was, but it was good!

I am probably misunderstanding you..... but here goes....

Skillet is on the ddp. If you order the skillet for 2, then only 2 can eat from the skillet. You cannot order a skillet for 1 person, then have 2 or 3 people eat from it.

It comes with salad, cornbread, then the actual skillet, non alcoholic drink (includes bottomless milkshake) then dessert!

The all you can eat skillet is available on the dining plan, but everyone who wants to eat from a skillet must pay either the skillet price or a dining plan credit. It is not permitted to buy one skillet and share it amongst the table. (The only exception is children under age 3, who may share with anyone without an extra charge.)

It is permitted to buy the skillet for some diners and have others order from the a la carte menu.
