Question about whether to get a park hopper

I plan to be in the parks for 5 days. Some days I will want to go to 2 parks, others I will just stick with one.

I notice that the 10-day base (no park hopper) ticket price is cheaper than the 5-day park hopper.

Can I just use a "day" every time I go to a different park? For example:

Day 1: MK (1)
Day 2: EP (1) and DS (1)
Day 3: MK (1) and AK (1)
Day 4: EP (1) and MK (1)
Day 5: MK (1) and DS (1) and EP (1)

That's a total of 10 "days".

Or, when I appear at the second park of the day, will they not let me in without first buying a park hopper. For example, on Day 2 above, when I go to DS, what will happen. Will it consume another "day" of my pass, or will Disney say that I cannot come in?

1. Can I just use a "day" every time I go to a different park?
2. Or, when I appear at the second park of the day, will they not let me in without first buying a park hopper.

1. Nope. The entry system will automatically reject a second park without the Hopper option.

2. Correct.

No Hopper: no second park.

BTW, this is one of THE most-asked questions about park tickets, so you're not alone
in exploring this situation.

Have a great trip!
