Question about when you rent points

I managed to get a reservation through David's rental at the Grand Californian! Yea!! Anyway, my question is: Can I add a "room celebration" myself or does the DVC member have to do it for me? My DH and I are doing a trip with no kids for our 10th anniversary and I was thinking about doing the Mickey & Minnie Romance one. I guess I could try to do it once we check in, but we check in on Wednesday and our actual anniversary is Thursday, so I'm thinking it would be too close. Any thoughts?

You never own the reservation until you check in. You probably need the member to add any requests or additions.

Can't you add your celebration via the Disney or MDE website. It's not a room celebration, it's your celebration.

A room celebration through Disney florist is what you are looking at here I believe. You should be able to order and pay for it with a room confirmation number.
