question about wheel chair rentals.....kids wheel chairs?

My son has big problems with his feet (plantar fasc., severs disease and flat feet). Though he's not really 'handicapped' I know he won't be able to handle a week of walking around WDW. I found info on wheel chair rentals at WDW but there was no information on what size they are. He's 95 lbs and 5ft. tall (small for a 15 yo). Do they have kids size wheelchairs? My two sons will more than likely be 'turned loose' once we get to a park and I'd rather they had a smallish wheelchair vs. a large one.

27 days and counting!! Going to WDW Dec. 1-8, staying at OKW, family of 7. First time for all of us.

At one time they had a very limited number of child sized wheelchairs (few enough that in many visits since 1987, I have never seen a WDW child size wheelchair).
The wheelchairs rented from the parks and loaned by the resorts are adult size wheelchairs. That usually means at least 16 inches wide, although, with Americans getting bigger, many places are increasing the size of their 'standard' wheelchair to an 18 inch wide seat.
There are places in the WDW area where you can rent smaller wheelchairs; check out the disABILITIES FAQs thread, near the top of the disABILITIES Board.

(For comparison, my DD is 5 feet tall and about 90 pounds. The seat on her custom wheelchair is 14 inches wide).
