Question about Westin Vacation Ownership

Hi Guys,
I know this one is off the usual subject, but my friend who works at Disneyland CA has just purchased an ownership in a Westin resort near Palm Springs. We have often discussed the Marriott program here on this board. I was wondering if anyone here was familiar with the Westin program and its offerings.

Like others here he is not planning on spending much time at the resort he purchased at, but wants to trade to other properties including DVC. I told him he may not get into DVC but he went ahead and signed the papers anyway. They advertised the program as the Marriott program on steroids! They also talked about something called Interwest. I told him I never heard of Interwest. Anyway any information anyone can give me would be much appreciated.

you might want to look up "intrawest" on the internet. They are "planning" on building more resorts (and there resort in Palm Springs is beautiful), but....
