Hi - I am trying to get my mom to go to WDW with us but she is worried about the heat. She can't take it when it is too hot. It has been quite a while since I have visited the world - are most of the areas where you line up covered or inside? I am assuming where you line up for Fanatasyland rides is primarily out of doors?
But hwat about the 'other' worlds...Thanks for the help...

If you truly want to avoid heat-- go in January and early February. It is not usually very hot then. Somedays can actually be long pants and sweater days.

Anyhow, if you do go in the summer or another time-- most of the que's are shaded and/or air conditioned. Some have fans as well. Disney does do a really great job of getting you out of the sun and summer heat while waiting for rides. Even in Fantasyland-- aside from the Carousel and Dumbo-- the waiting area's are out of the direct sun.

If you go during the hotter months she's still going to be very hot even if she's out of the direct sun. You might consider picking up a misty fan (get one from a store at home so you don't have to pay park prices), which can be a huge help. It also helps to plan your attractions so you are going into air conditioning after a hot wait. For example, do Pirates after Jungle Cruise, which has an entirely outdoor wait.
