I called Disney Weddings to get some info about having our 25th anniversary vow renewal there. I wrote down the info but cant find it and will have to wait til Monday to call again. Has anyone ever done the vow renewal at the Wedding Pavillion and what was your experience like. I want to use our DVC points to cover our stay and I think they said that was ok. Is it in the ballpark of about $4500 for 10 people or 20? thanks!

You can just go to Disneywedding.com. and get lots of information. it has the packages on there. and talks about Vow Renewals.

How fantastic, we'd love to do a vow renewal one day - we got married at the pavillion in March 05. Good luck with the planning.

We're not doing a Vow Renewal, just the first time wedding, but you can definitely do it for around $4500 for that many people. An Intimate is starts around $3900 (ish) for the WP and you can just add touches to it if you'd like. And on the disney wedding website, you can put together a wishbook and add things to get a more realistic price rage! Good luck! :thumbsup2

Thanks everyone for the responses. I remembered it cost about $4500 but wasnt sure if that was for 10 or 20 guests. Will call Disney Weddings today. Good luck luvsmickey on your upcoming wedding. Our 25th is coming up next year but actually we have been together for 32 years! Our first date was my 16th birthday. I cant think of any other place in the world where we should do our vow renewals. My dh and I went for the first time there in 1975 when I was still in high school!

We did our vow renewal at the wedding pavilion on May 1 of this year. If you have any other questions, let me know. It was truly a magical experience and we had a great time!

Thanks Mommy Poppins. Your pictures are beautiful! I didn't realize you could have pictures taking in front of the Castle for a vow renewal. Just wanted to ask where you had your reception at. Thanks!

what a sweet story. Have a great time planning your special day.

We did the intimate vow renewal, so we didn't have a traditional "reception". For all Wedding Pavilion intimates (approx $3,350 or $3,900 for 2007), weddings or renewals, the "cake-cutting" is held at Commander's Terrace at the Grand Floridian. Intimates are limited to 20 people, including the bride and groom. There is not seating for all 20 people at Commander's Terrace--my DH and I never sat at all. I have other pictures if you would like to see them, just let me know. We requested chocolate cake with peanut butter mousse filling and it was to die for!!!!

Our vow renewal was at 4:00, followed by the cake-cutting at Commander's Terrace. We then took our group of 13 to 1900 Park Fare for dinner after the cake cutting. Since we had 6 adults and 7 kids, we wanted a fun, not so formal dinner. We were still able to wear our wedding clothing but everything was a lot more casual than a sit-down, quiet restaurant kind of dinner.

Disney can do whatever your budget can accommodate. We went with the intimate at the WP (which is a little more expensive) because I was so afraid of a spring late afternoon thunderstorm! However, after I added all of the extras, we could probaby have had a custom renewal with only a small additional cost.

The MK photo shoot is available to all DFTW brides whether they are weddings or vow renewals. We did ours at 5am on May 2. At that time, the cost was $800 or $850. We got a portfolio/leather-fold-out of 12 pictures (picked by Disney) as well as a box of 4x5s of all of the other pictures that were taken. I haven't yet ordered any additional photos, but I think I am going to order one 5x7 or 8x10 just for me. :thumbsup2

In addition, we had an outside photographer (Randy Chapman - approx $575), an outside videographer (STVS - approx $600) and we had Mickey & Minnie at our "cake cutting" (another $1,300).

Even though we spent the price of a cheap new car, I wouldn't change a thing! We originally honeymooned at Disney 11 years ago. For our 10th anniversary (2005) my DH was doing an 18 month deployment. He returned in February, 2006 and I had all of the Disney trip and vow renewal planned as our welcome home vacation! Truly a magical, once-in-a-lifetime experience!

Again, ask any questions that you have or feel free to PM me.

Happy Planning!

Thanks dee slack and Laurafoster. This will be alot of fun planning our 25th. I am going to ask my dd (shes 17) to sing at the reception. Mommy Poppins, I sent you a pm with more questions! Thanks!

You and your dh sound like me and mine. We will be 25yrs married in Nov. 2007. We started dating when I was 16...well 16 and a half (as my teens would say).

Congratulations on your upcoming wedding anniversary, SamRoc.

I'm another FTW Vow Renewal person. I had my ceremony in the Wedding Pavilion because my husband and I had watched it being built during one of our Grand Floridian vacations. We knew it would be the perfect place for us to celebrate our marriage in one day (and it was). I have some info about my custom VR in another thread here on the Dis: click here. If you have any questions, feel free to ask.

Again, congratulations!

Thanks so much everyone! Its great to hear about everyone elses experiences. I love looking at everyones pictures and am looking forward to our vow renewal next October. Would love to have it at the Wedding Pavillion.

Disney Weddings called us yesterday to see if we decided between the intimate or custom vow renewal. We decided on the intimate and I thought it was really cute how they wished us Happy Anniversary yesterday. Were originally thinking of having some kind of Halloween theme but we really cant do that with an intimate, and since our family is so spread out across the country, we decided against the custom. This works out well as its 20 people exactly, My Dad, My inlaws and 2 siblings (and their familes) from each side (so its even!)
