Question about vax requirement and documentation

DS and I were supposed to be on the 9/30 Wish cruise that was cancelled. We've rebooked for 1/27/23. Obviously, we were already checked in and had submitted copies of our vax cards before cancelation. Of course I know that we'll have to do check in again, but will we have to resubmit proof of vaccination or will those records still be preserved and available? I also saw some conflicting article that said proof of vax was no longer required for DCL and then said it was still required. Anyone know the definitive on that?

You may have to resubmit the vax records as they may not retain it for privacy reasons after a sailing but I cannot say for certain.

This is copied directly from DCL's Know Before You Go page.

Beginning October 14, 2022
(Disney Wish, Disney Dream, Disney Fantasy and Disney Wonder)

This policy will apply to Disney Magic sailings beginning October 26, 2022.

GUESTS AGES 12 AND OLDER

  • Full vaccination not required but highly recommended
  • Testing for fully vaccinated Guests not required
    • To be exempt from testing requirements, fully vaccinated Guests must upload their proof of vaccination to the Inspire Diagnostics Safe Passage website by midnight prior to embarkation day.
  • Testing for unvaccinated Guests required
    • Unvaccinated Guests must provide results of a COVID-19 test taken 1 to 2 days before sail date. The test may be an observed antigen test through a proctored telehealth service with digital results. A rapid or lab-based PCR test, or Nucleic Acid Amplification Test (NAAT) are also acceptable.

From the DCL website:
Beginning October 7, 2022, for sailings departing from Florida ports, Guests are no longer required to provide proof of COVID-19 vaccination to sail. Guests who choose to provide proof of vaccination are exempt from testing requirements.

As long as the Safe Passage website is working correctly, any previously uploaded proof of vaccine should still be there if you add a new cruise to your account.

NOTE: requirements may vary based on departure port and/or the ports of call for a particular cruise.

As described above, vaccinations will not be required for your January cruise. However, if you don't have vaccination records on file, you will need to do testing before the cruise. So, if your records aren't still there, it's worth it to add them.
