My in laws are meeting us in Disney for a few days. They got the dining plan like us so they could join us at some more $$ places. They have it for 3 nights but will be leaving early and will still have 1TS meal each left plus some snacks. My mom was wondering if she could just give us the card to use up the leftovers while we are there, or if they could just charge everyones meal one night on their card? Are any of these options possible? Or should I make plans to eat at a 2TS credit place while they are there then pay oop for the 1TS meal we would need later in our trip? Thanks

According to Disney policy, you are not permitted to use your in-laws' dining credits.

Before they leave, they can purchase the snacks with their credits and give them to you. They will not be able to do this with TS credits. Plan to use the TS credits while they are still there.

Plus the credits expire at midnight your last day there. So if they leave on a Tuesday if you tried to use their card Wednesday it would no longer be active.

If you are all eating dinner together at the same restaurant- and they just pay w/ one card for all the credits- i can't imagine that being a problem. I almost htink the servers would prefer that over giving them 2 cards and having them split it.
But that's just me....maybe i'll get mean faces for it though!

Disney has really cracked down on this by increasing the penalties for servers who allow this, including termination. Because of this 99.9% of the servers will not allow you to do this.

No, they have to split it by each groups separate dining plans.

We recently returned after going as a large group, 5 different rooms. At every place we ate, we were required to give the CM 5 different cards. We asked more than once if they could just take them from one card to make it easier and every time we were politely told, no, sorry, we need a card from each room; 2 adults on one card means only 2 meals can be credited from it at a time.
