Question about using MM for Minnie's Breakfast

I have heard conflicting info here. Even when I called Disney (of course). So has anyone been to Minnie's on a MM and had a MM left on their tickets and still been able to use the MM on another day? Is Minnie's going to use up our MM since we're going on our first day?

It *shouldn't*. Guests are able to enter the parks early for Minnie's reservations without having to use a MM. There is a special gate open just for those attending the breakfast. That said, be sure to tell the CM swiping your ticket that you do not want to use the MM for your breakfast reservation, because if it is accidentally deducted, you will lose out on the MM later in your trip.

For DD's Bday trip *7/10* we started @ the DLH then moved to a different hotel, I wanted to save our PHs MM for later in our visit when we were offsite, I contacted several Disney people and they could not help/didn't get it?? So our MM on our PHs was "eaten" when we were onsite guests, they scanned our PHs and the PH MM was gone/used even though we were onsite guests - not cool, I would worry about your breakfast...

Grr. Yeah no one seems to know! My husband and I discussed the possibility and if we'd be willing to just let the mm slip away with the breakfast.

Because it's the "big day". First day in the park. Birthday breakfast. Needs to be the first day. I thought of that, but the breakfast is more important to us than the MM I guess.

Well there has to be some way for this to work. You can't be the only ones who do this. I would keep asking until I was able to make it work. I would have no problem escalating this issue with a lead. I would bring my receipt from the breakfast to show I was not using my MM on that day. I would trust Disney to make it right. :thumbsup2

use mm ride fl rides, and then about 930 or 10 go for a late breakfast (could work some one else sugested this for me)

I've read on here that as long as you enter on the far left (I believe it's left) gate that's for early reservations your MM should not be used up when you enter for breakfast. I would mention it at the gate as well that you are entering for breakfast and still want your MM another day.

We have PS's booked for May 22nd at 8:10am (50 mins prior to park opening). We are AP holders and not staying on property therefore not eligible for MM. When I called to book our PS, the CM did not ask if we had access to MM -- So you should not use up your MM when you have breakfast on an MM day.

That's not the issue. We know that you can go to the Minnie breakfast before the park opens without a MM, the issue is when they go to scan your park ticket, if your ticket has a MM encoded on it, it seems that if they scan your ticket prior to regular park opening, it *automatically* deducts the MM, even if you aren't using it.

I probably won't escalate it because we sorta feel like we're taking that chance if we do it  but I will TOTALLY ask a few times to make sure :lmao: "Are you suuuure? Are you really really really suuuure?" LOL

"Yes, I'm absolutely positive! Now let me scan your ticket...err...oops" lol.

I agree with Jade. I would use my MM that first morning and then go eat brkfst at Minnies around 9.

Oooohhhh.. Got it. :thumbsup2

As mentioned by a couple others, why not enjoy your MM and then brunch @ Minnie's?? We enjoy a 7am MM, riding rides and collecting FPs until Minnie's at 10 or 10:30, not a lot of guests and tons of characters!
