Question About Using Magic Band to Pay for Food

My SIL and her two kids are headed down to WDW. All will have Magic Bands. Is there a way for each of her kids to set up their own debit card to their own band? They are teens and each of them wants to use their own money to pay for their snacks, lunch, etc. while in the parks. If this can be done, is there a specific way to do it? TIA for any info!

The credit card that's linked to your magic band is the one linked to the room. So that would be a no. BUT - you can always get each one of them a Disney Gift Card to use in place of cash.

I stayed in a room with a friend and we had our individual cards set up to our own magic bands.

Things could have changed but when i did it it was in 2018.

Yes, simply have a CM at the front desk of their resort set it up. They can link different payment methods to each MB. I traveled with my BFF to BCV in 2019 and, though my cc was linked to the room initially, once we were onsite, the front desk CM was able to link her CC to her MB without issue.

Once you are onsite, the front desk CM can link different payment methods to each MB. No need to buy gift cards in OP's circumstance.
