Question about using DVC points

okay i i have never used DVC points before and is considering renting points for my upcoming trip in june. So my questions: By renting points is that just for the room? Can you add dining and park tickets to that?

sorry i know things like this have been asked all the time, but any information would be appreciated.

The member who rents you a points reservation is renting you just the room. HOwever, the dining plan can be added to the reservation and so can Magical Express (the member has to do that for you).

Park tickets are on your own. You can purchase those anywhere.

While we refer to it as "renting points" you are really renting a reservation from a DVC member who makes that reservation using their points. You won't be using the points yourself.

As stated already if you want to add the dining plan, the member from whom you are renting must add that to your reservation for you. You pay for it when you check in.

Since you have never rented from a DVC member before, I suggest you visit our Rent/Trade board and read the "sticky" threads at the top of the board. Start with the "Read me first" thread.
