question about use year?

O.K. my DH and I are trying to all our ducks in a row before buying into DVC. If you buy 2 contracts example:
150 OKW (re-sale, get in the system) with a use year of April
25 AKL with the same use year of April
Then at 11 months out when I want to book a trip to AKL can I book 175 (combine both contracts worth of points-which have the same use year )worth of nights OR do I have to wait 7 months out because even though I own DVC at AKL not enough points to book with just thoughs points? I hope this question makes sense?

The 11 month home resort window is exactly that - the home resort for those points. In your case, you would be able to use only 25 points at AKL at the 11 month window.

But every three years you could use 75 points (25 banked, 25 borrowed and 25 current year) at 11 months.

Actually you could have 75 points to use in the 2nd UY. Bank this year then nest year you have the banked year & the current year then borrow the next year.
