Question about upgrading to AP

Ok, I think I've got this figured right, but I've never upgraded from a discounted ticket before. UT has a 2 day ticket with one free day for $263, so it would be $527 for the two of us. The UO website gives a three day ticket at $585 for two. Please correct me if this is wrong, but my understanding is that I can use the tickets for two days and then on the third day go to guest services and upgrade to two seasonal passes ($607). I just want to verify that they will bridge the price from the $527 UT price to the $585 UO price before the upgrade. If so, I will save around $60, but if not I'd rather just buy the passes from the UO website. Does this sound right?

I hope so. Seems that this is the experience of some people. We bought UT buy 2 get 2 free 3 park passes a while back (not park to park). We decided not to go to Volcano Bay this trip, but would like to do park to park so I am hoping to bridge these tickets to a seasonal annual pass.

It all depends on the ticket. If it is a UT promo where they are giving you a 3 day ticket, then yes you will get credit for a 3 day ticket. However, if it is a Universal deal where it is a 2 day ticket, with a free day then you will get only credit for 2 days.

Some of the UT tickets are tickets purchased from Universal that were a buy 2 days get one free. They are usually advertised as such on the UT website. Those are the tickets that might not get you a 3 day credit. I think that as long as it just says it is a normal 3 day ticket on the UT website, you should be fine in getting the 3 day credit.
