Question about upgrading AKL standard view

Has anyone booked a standard room and when they arrived at the hotel upgraded their room to savannah view at an additional charge? If so, how much did they charge you? We stayed at the AKL 2 years ago and booked standard but was upgraded at no charge to savannah. I am not necessarily counting on a free upgrade so wanted to know what they might charge if we wanted to upgrade.

We also were upgraded from standard view to savanna. I have come to the opinion that if room is available they will upgrade for free. That if they haven't given you a free upgrade, then there is probably no room available to satisfy a request for a paid upgrade.
