Question about two attractions! Pirates and Haunted house!

Hey Shyjade: the only REALLY scary thing I can think of that comes directly from the movie...is after the stretching room hits bottom...If you look up when the lightening hits you will see a body hanging from the rafters! So, DON'T look UP! the rest is not really scary like a childhood haunted house with all of that yucky stuff jumping out at you. It's pretty mellow...more like How'd they do that? Honestly, just give it one shot...YOU CAN DO IT! we'll send you some Pixie Dust to keep all bad things away ok?

Thanks helenm29! Yes, I want to try it...I think we will! We will be there for MNSSHP and we thought that would be a fun time to ride HM. DD8 did ok with seeing Dead Man's Chest in the theater (although she did cover her eyes briefly a few times); I thought it might freak her out too much but I warned her what it would be like and she did great! (Watched Curse of the Black Pearl on DVD at home during the day...much different impact to see DMC in the theater!)

LOL! I would've closed my eyes a few times too except I was afraid I'd miss Orlando Bloom!! And of course Mr. Depp...he's had me since "Edward Scissorhands"!!

I took my daughter to WDW for the first time for her 7th birthday and she was not scared of either of these. She actually thought the Haunted Mansion was funny. And could not get enough of POC!

Thank you everyone!! You've really helped me alot. I think Nikki will be fine for POTC, but I think we'll skip the haunted mansion. Maybe I'll have my sis go in once, and see what she thinks though. Again, thank you so much everyone. I love this board!
